Hello,
when booting my Laptop in normal mode it ends up in a black screen after the mint loading screen which only can be reset with pushing the Power Button till the device turns off. Same Problem when starting the gdm after new Installation of the driver. It is an Sony Vaio VPCF136FM Laptop with a GT425M Graphic Card. There were no Problems during Installation of the driver. Attached is the bug- report. Thanks for your help. |

Hi,
I am having the same issue with the blank black screen. I am using a Sony VPCF1190X with a GT330M My OS is Fedora 13 with a 2.6.36-1 kernel built for FC15. The install of the driver completes with no errors ( I use the -k $(uname -r) to be sure the correct kernel is used and I am also able to install the kmod-nvidia through yum. as well as the akmod and force it to build using akmod --force after removing the kmod. I have been led through this by the great sage leigh123linux from the fedora forums and he has gotten me so very close to figuring it out. this is the thread I've been using to work this out. Any help is greatly appreciated :-D |
