Default Driver problem for LG Monitor 42LV3500

Hi I am using the above mentioned monitor on a Ion box running ubuntu 9.10, driver version 260.19.04 - When I try to decode and render video (decoded/rendered with VDPAU) - sometimes its fine but other times - the screen blanks out after a few seconds. The xorg file is normal - with nvidia - auto settings. The xorg.log file shows something interesting:

I am pretty sure its a EDID/vert/horiz refresh rate settings that causes this but wanted to know if others have any experience of this sort and if I could force a refresh rate or something that would fix this issue. Or if there is a newer driver version that fixes it. nvidia driver report file and xorg log file attached.

Thanks
