I never had this problem until I upgraded to kernel 3.4.2. Freezes at some point (after over two hours of uptime, so it's rare.) Kernel 3.4.1 does not have this issue.
The error says: "[mi] EQ overflowing. Additional events will be discarded until existing events are processed." Maybe it's a different issue, though, I have no idea :-/ I'm also attaching Xorg.0.log.old, since nvidia-bugreport does not include it, and it's the only place where the error messages can be seen. |

The problem is gone with kernel 3.4.3 and 3.4.4. So in my case, it was a 3.4.2-only thing.

The problem is persistent - I get lockups everyday with the most recent kernel. Perhaps someone should ask Torvalds to swear at Nvidia one more time and by chance make some lonely nvidia dev actually investigate this?? Thanks Nvidia - due to your faulty drivers I use Intel gpu of a laptop to do stuff your pricey card apparently just can't do (like work without crashing xorg) - well done.
