Also, you don't even know when the beta was built. Some say its a 3-4week old build, but if you look at most of the file dates they are from 7/31. Either way it's a very old build.

Read my edit. It will be MUCH different as stated by the devs a million times. There are so many things not in the beta it's not even funny.

And yes, testing an old build does make sense since they don't change 100% of the code each time they make a change...

Yeah it's obvious that they are just testing their backend and server code. Hence the passworded caspain border with all different player amounts.

Come on man, just look at the download size of the beta, it's small. Look at at the settings, they don't change much. I'm willing to bet that ultra will be exactly what it says on release because GeForce site says I can only run it at medium.

Got to say though, the engine is impressive at these settings and it's pretty rare you see popup like, Farcry2, Crysis 2, The Witcher 2 and such.

Damn, that's more than half of the space on my SSD.

The beta map loads up really quick though, which is nice.

Note to the people trying to compare graphics settings: you have to exit and reload the map. repi said that they should be changeable in-game in the final version (except for textures) but not in the beta. And yeah those black lines to the center of the screen happened in the alpha for me quite a bit but haven't seen them yet here.

Still getting disconnected+CTD right before the end of the game in the majority of matches tho...

I've heard this is real close to final code a day one patch to clean up some left over bugs. They did the same thing with bf bc2.. I don't know why some people are so delusional.

I just tried it again, just to give it the benefit of the doubt...

Still same result...the shaking screen when moving with mouse just puts me right off.

We'll see on the 25th then but can you tell which are NVIDIA driver bugs from game bugs? I mean if NVIDIA were to release a new beta in a week that moped up one third of the graphics bugs, then you would look a bit silly.

Tek9 esports players reporting similar issues to me. Glad its not just me then, and the esports fanbois are dismissing it already as BFBC3..... Seems the intolerance to play anything at less than 125 fps with a proper fov and lego esque cfg seems to not only stop with me...

Will reserve full judgement till the final game, but i seriously doubt very much that a lot will be improved...

i really hate the game manager/browser, and its annoying that you can only see settings when spawned

I also cannot see any improvements on BC2 with the gameplay or graphics
