So is the game SP or MP? Or both? (which would be new to the Main BF Series)

New gameplay trailer looked like it was all SP.

Battlefield 3 will have single player, multiplayer, and co-op modes.

Battlefield 3 over Crysis 2 every single day of the week. Those BF3 screens are better than anything i have seen from Crysis 2 so far.....

Crysis 2 failed to impress me (from the demo).

Battlefield 3 impresses me every time i see a new screenshot and the size of the maps etc will put Crysis 2 to shame. There really is no comparison here, Battlefield 3 is going to be 100x the game Crysis 2 is.

Sure i mean it would be wrong to entirely judge the game from a ported DX9 demo from the 360. I will withold my final judgement after i have played SP in all its glory but tbh im kinda cheesed off with the route Crytek have taken, it's blatantly obvious that this once PC dedicated developer has its eyes set firmly on the console cash in.

Crysis was a PC game, Crysis 2 is a ported console game that may or may not get extra bells and whistles in the final release. A real shame because it would have been nice to have yet another game to be the benchmark for other games in terms of visuals just like Crysis 1.

Looks close to me. And the pic is prolly maxed out in dx11.. The crysis 2 pic i posted is locked medium shaders, dx9, and a demo ported over from console. Haha
Get over yourself you obsessive tiring crysis fanboy, how can you not notice that the BF3 buildings are actually 3D objects, with balconys etc, loads of surface detail and that the whole scene is much more complex than the boxes with flat textures from the crysis2 mp demo ?

This game looks more and more like Ghost Recon every time I see a pic of it. Looks really sweet!
