Laying AT mines, C4ing etc ... just feels like i've done all this before, done to death.

It really is just like a new map pack with a graphics boost for Bad Company 2.

Like all of a sudden "prone" is some amazing new feature.

I am trying really really hard to enjoy this game, but I feel like i've played it for hundreds of hours before.

in bc2, you could lay AT mines, switch classes, and the mines would remain there. Same with bf3?

They remain after death, so I assume so.

Working fine with HT on on my 2600k 5ghz and 2x560ti's SSD drive with onboard sound.

Finished the SP. It is short like COD.

At moments, more than any other military game I've played, it made me feel like I was really there. There are some jaw dropping moments. That flight in the jet was amazing. The ambush in the woods showed you how difficult it is to see people in camouflage shooting at you in the woods. Some spectacular gunfights.

At other moments you felt like they were needlessly copying COD. No need for the bombing run in the jet--just stick to the air-to-air combat. Setting up claymores as a sniper while getting rushed was also unnecessary.

The story is not as bad as I thought reading reviews. It's on par with the COD storylines too. COD doesn't make much sense either (Russia could never invade the U.S. even if they wanted to. Logistically impossible.) The animated character acting is sometimes very convincing and far better than COD.

There are a few more bugs and glitches than I found in COD which brings the overall quality down a notch. And I want to smack whoever insisted that all cars need to explode from a single bullet. But overall an excellent but short SP experience.

i miss the bc2 destruction tho....in bf3 its toned down a lot...yea there are some...but a lot of the time u shoot a rocket and it just explodes on the wall :/....

graphics while amazing for a multiplayer has some areas where it has low textures.
the sun light blinding u is annoying.
the lights on vehicles/etc...sometimes just way too silly...(kinda like the star trek movie and lense flare..its an overkill)

each kit should have an extra slot called "sun glasses" and we get to pick the shade of the color...

overall its great..just that the lights flashing is super annoying.

Is this stuttering constant then? Or just random?... cos I have HT enabled and can't say i've had a problem with it. Makes me wonder whether something else might be causing the issue.

i finally looked at my fps last night with console, and the lowest i go is to the high-50's, but sometimes there is still stuttering on servers when the fps is well over 80. so it's not the graphics. it's the server or my internets are clogged.
