You on an i7 and tried with / without HT?

BF3 is meant to be optimised for hyper threading so surprised to hear people are getting a higher fps with it off.

Fps aren't higher...just feels smoother..for those that have it. I dont. Mines smoother with HT on.

I can't tell any difference with HT on or off and the only thing that smooths out the stuttering a little bit for me is the renderdevice.forcerenderaheadlimit 1 command. However having to do this every time i boot up BF3 is annoying. Need new driver with fix nao.

Found this searching Google:

How to remove the Bloom effect

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

open the prof_save_profile file in notepad, its here:
C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Battlefield 3\settings

Search for the word enlighten and then change the "1" following it to a "0"

Then save.

Make a copy beforehand just in case.

Okay after I right clicked my game in Origin and it updated, now it won't open, wow I hate this Origin crap, how do I get my game to work? This install has been the clunkiest biggest piece of crap ever, it's not helpful at all.

Origin is not crap. People are crying about it for no other reason than to just cry about it.
Click on the BF3 .exe file.

Are you video drivers up to date. There is one specifically for nvidia.

WRG to the BG3 web interface, I love it. I love having a party and everyone joining in on the same game at once and in the same squad. I do hope they get joystick support soon. I have everything set up and I can fly but it cuts out after a minute or two of flying. Odd. I guess Ill just have to keep my boots on the ground for nao.

BTW for all you Origin crybabies, buy the XBox version of BF3 and you won't have to use Origin.

I don't like this at all. The lighting affect is part of the game and part of what they want to be a hindrance in combat. Its like lowering graphics to remove bushed to see people hiding in them or removing fog to see across the map. Its cheap crap.

Your right.. what was I thinking! After all the hooplah about the much better single player campaign.. why should I be able to criticize it at all? I mean its battlefield after all!

Me and my man card will be waiting for planetside 2 and tribes. -_-
