Got my ass kicked at this game last night.

Switched back off the P90 over to the FAMAS again. Assault class.

Is the FAMAS a good weapon any more as far as hit damage goes? I heard that it was overpowered for a long time and then just read yesterday that they gimped the crap out of it.

What do you guys recommend? Worth continuing to use it?

The P90 is not in the same class as any assault rifle. I use the M16A3 as my primary assault rifle, because even though the damage output for all the assault rifles is identical, the recoil is the most manageable for that gun, and also AEK is also pretty easy to use. For the PDW-class of weapons, I like VAL.

Everyone probably knows this already, but they completely re-did the lighting in the main side alley in Grand Bazaar. Looks fantastic now. This is the alley that takes the side route from C in the direction of B. It used to be fairly bright, but now it is much darker.

The M416 and AEK are really easy to use.

Yea actually M416 has identical power output (if I remember correctly) to the assault rifles, so it's #1 choice for engi class.

M416 was always my favorite assault gun. It's strong and easy to manage, i just feel confident with it. You have to check what attachments you use now too. Demize made the fire grip less desirable and boosted the less used attachments to add more variety

man the ACW-R (Which is available for unlock now via assignment if you have Premium) just feels fantastic for engineer weapons. The recoil is very manageable (better than VAL at longer range).

Its scary, i never expected it to fire so quickly and accurately. Same for the AUG, it seems to be better than the M416 in terms of full auto accuracy. I can foresee these two weapons getting nerfed in the future.

I will be on during the day, because I don't have a job.

Played about 20 rounds. Impressions: First and foremost, the new maps look fantastic. Really really well done. Blows away BC2 indoor sections. The new maps also feel very spacious with many many rooms. It will take me a long time to learn them. Gameplay is as advertised: very frantic. Because there are so many rooms and hallways, grenade spam is not an issue, at least not right now. Everything runs smoothly. Is the map pack worth $15? Absolutely for me.

EDIT: Some of the maps feel a lot like Cod4's "Showdown", except with way more rooms, and many time bigger.

EDIT: The weekend of the 16th will be a 2x XP weekend. Info here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3...4783220020096/
