My theory: consoles can't deal with it so it has to be cut.

Your theory is flawed because the PC is the primary development platform (so says DICE atleast) and they even stated that its in the game but not in MP portions, which I take as it broke the game to have it fully destructible rather then offering more structured destruction that wont break the game.

thanks for the share.
i dont mind about this TOO much,

Damage is done to façades built onto structures, rather than the actual structures themselves – you’re not going to be bringing buildings down in Battlefield 3 like you did in Bad Company 2 outside of scripted moments in singleplayer and possible hard-coded objectives in multiplayer.
i am not really the kind of player that has patience to totally bring down buildings, but i think by the time a building is fully "destroyed", it will look like the "building foundations" areas in arica harbor or other maps that are pretty much little to no good at all hiding in since you can see straight through. i hope you can still destroy fences, walls, etc on the ground that peeps love to hide behind.

Wait, so if you buy the retail copy, will you have to register it with origin?

I rather show off my Steam Games list. It's rather impressive. ^_^
