Valve has developed an entire platform (much like a console) for their server browser. It took years and tons of money to develop to the point that it was transparent for gamers. There have been tons of issues along the way. EA should just license Valve's server browser tech. It would make it much easier for them.

I think EA might be taking a stab at it with battlelog, but I'm not sure. If anything, this is a pretty good alternative to Valve's server browser.

I remember in the alpha I had to leave my browser open while playing a game. Nice waste of resources.

And honestly, why do we even need a browser AT ALL? It might break some systems entirely!!@!#

Bf3 one is actually nice. Browse servers from your desktop, click one, it puts you right into the game, no bs into videos, no extra loading.
It is crap. And half the time you can't get into a game. The join a quick match is anything but quick.

EA should have just gone with Steamworks, but they're greedy bastards who want you to buy from them directly.

first world problems.

If your system is struggling with having a simple browser open while playing, then it can't handle BF3 anyways. This is just something else for the whiny little bitches to cry about, that is all.

Wow BF3 vs COD when will it end and who cares. Play what you want to play. Half the people bitching about MW3 will buy it anyway.

Newegg has the game on sale for $48 + free shipping. Doesn't this require Origin so buying a retail copy basically gives you a downloaded one such as Steam?
