I'd recommend a GTS 450 if you prefer NVIDIA, or HD 5750 if you'd like to try an AMD GPU.

For what it's worth, both overclock nicely and perform quite well in current games.

The type of ram won't matter. (GDDR)

The (XFX, PowerColor, VTX) are just company names.

XFX is usually spot on with their customer service, at least I think so. I'd look into that.

There isn't too much, if any difference from the cards. The major difference would be what the outputs would be. (VGA, HDMI, DVI)

Check out some of the different versions here, and look at the ones with the most reviews/best reviews and make your choice. But be sure to select a version with an output that your monitor/TV can connect to:

450 GTS

HD 5750

You can have my GTX260 for 70 quid, Its niiice

A GTX260 is about the same as a HD5770 but better than a 5750

An important question when buying a new graphics card is ,What kind of power supply do you have?
