ME2 looks too plastic in my view. It needs some Ambient Occlusion as well really.

Edited some config files to get higher than in game settings. Looks a lot better imo. FPS took a hit, guess I'll have to drop SSAA from 8x to 4x. lol

sammy sung - grain filter and pictures are bad combinations especially in ME2.

after playing need for speed hot pursuit, i went back and have been playing another criterion game, burnout: ultimate box. burnout is FAR superior. it's fun, the cars handle much better, the world is more open ended, and it looks just as good if not better.

burnout wins on:

traffic/AA/city detail:


actual wrecks, not just the fender-bender crap in nfs:hp:




jumps:


actual shortcuts:


not that burnout is perfect. it no longer is supported by EA in the pc version, and the menu system is a nightmare. however, you hardly use the menus at all once you are playing, unlike nfs:hp. it's sad to see how criterion and need for speed ruined hot pursuit rather than building on the success of burnout.
