Just in case anyone's unsure - Minecraft DOES support AA. You just turn it on in CCC or whatever the crappy Nvidia equivalent is, and that's that, it just works. I'm pretty sure it works in both fullscreen and windowed too.

My world, last time I logged on (it's been a while - too much dicking around with mods and texture packs every bloody time the game is updated!);

Basically when I started Minecraft the first time, I walked randomly, then started digging through a cave for HOURS (no tools, just my hands), until I came across the lava flow in the last few pics. I built a rough 'home' around it and that was that. I don't much care for fancy homes or anything, I just integrate my **** into the landscape and be done with it.

Outside, I mined some lava flows out of the nearby mountain, the same with a spring I found inside, and built a cart track that snakes throughout the hundred or so random caves and dungeons beneath my home (the entrance to these dungeons is in the last picture, it just goes down and down forever) then out through the countryside & up and all over and around and through the mountain with lava flows and pretty things all along the way. In the outdoors pictures, you can see the area where my home is, it's next to the nice purple portal. When I found the lava flow in my home, I dug towards the sound of water and came out in a little inland beach type thing, which I made into the front of my home.

Minecraft is quite a one-of-its-kind game yes... But doesn't the engine support higher resolution textures lol?

On a second note, i knew AA was applicable. It usually is, in one way or another

Pretty sure it's meant to look that way. What engine doesn't support bi-linear filtering now days?

Well by default the game runs with 16x16 resolution textures - it's a deliberate design choice. In my screenshots above I'm running a 64x64 'highres' texture mod. The game actually looks a bit wierd if you start using texture packs with too much detail... I tried a couple of 128x128 texture mods and it was actually too clean looking, it just doesn't suit the game's 'character'.

Sorry , those were supposed to be in the photo thread

Btw, those UE3 shots actually looks great, could use moar AA tho.. I dont know what it is but there is something with UE3 that speaks to me, it's clean and nice somehow. What AA modes/combinations are you using here?
