3d vision for quadro and/or geforce

When will the Linux driver be able to use just a usb port to send a signal to the 3d glass instead of 3 pin and a usb connection. I think Nvidia should add 3D support to the Geforce as well since it will enable student to visualize molecules on ordinary Pc inbetter manner than by just look at none 3d screen.
