Taking Sandy Bridge plunge! Stick with GTX 460 1GB? Or...?

Finally upgrading my core setup now that Sandy Bridge is knocking on the door. Should I stick with my GTX 460? I like the performance offered by the GTX 570 and I'm thinking I could flip my 460 for a decent amount. However I'm not too keen on dropping $350 for a card that averages between 60-80% faster over the GTX 460 I have now. I thought about a higher end P67 board w/SLI capability to go with another GTX 460, but I have no SLI experience whatsoever. To make things worse two GTX 460s draw significantly more power than a single 570 and I'm not 100% sure my 620W Corsair would be up to the task. It would be nice to shut off the extra card when my back catalog of older titles though (I have quite a list to complete...)

Thoughts appreciated.

I have a single 570 and given where you are coming from and what you would be moving to, I can definitely recommend it.

Not that much faster than your 460. I would wait to upgrade your graphics until you needed something more.

Thanks everyone. After looking at the benchmarks more closely I think I've decided to stick with the 460 at least for the time being. If I find I'm GPU limited I'll think about something higher end. Got a mortgage and car payments to think about after all. Keep me in mind if you're selling a 570 though!

Yeah I think you are making the right decision sticking with the 460. Can always upgrade later, but it seems like it should get the job done for now. Hope you enjoy sandy bridge though. I wish my Core 2 Quad setup would have lasted longer, had to upgrade to Core i7 in the summer knowing how Sandy Bridge would offer even better performance at a lower price.

Thought about that one too, but I have zero experience with SLI. There is also a chance my PSU wouldn't cut it and I'd need to spend extra for an SLI capable board. I'd probably just go the GTX 570 route first.
