Unhappy GT520 compatibility problem?

Hi guys,

i got a problem:

I'm running a quite old Supermicro X7DAL-E MoBo: http://www.supermicro.com/products/m...0X/X7DAL-E.cfm

Currently im running a Gainward Geforce GTX 560ti together with a Gainward G210.

Now, i like to swap the G210 with a GT520 but i cant get the card to work, no matter what slot used, plugged in single or together with another card.

I get a bios beep code for "VGA bad". I already tested the card in another Computer, its working there.

Could it be that the 520 is not compatible with my intel 5000x chipset? Or is it a PCIExpress version issue? If so, why is the (a lot more powerful) GTX560ti working like a charm?

I'm running out of ideas...

Help plox

Edit: Mobo Bios is already up to date...

Default Re: GT520 compatibility problem?

I'm wondering if a GT520 from a other brand would be working... ?

YES! A msi Geforce 520 is working.

Very odd....well, i plugged the point of view 520 that doesn't want to run with my board to my dads computer. Its working like a charm there.

Solved that way
