2wire wireless router/modem connects half speed until unplugged

Hey guys at parents home here we've got a 1.5mb dsl connection with a 2wire wireless router. Every morning when I connect I only get half the download speed on both my wireless adapter on my desktop and with a laptop. This is until I unplug the router and plug it back in, whereby I regain the full 1.5mb connection. I have to do this every morning. Has anyone had this problem or any idea how to fix it? I fear my parents have been only utilizing half their connection until I got home.

Try to see if one of the systems are using the bandwidth of your connection. An easy way to test is to connect only one of the systems at a time. Also, you could call your ISP and see if they are bandwidth throttling down your connections when idle.
