Hello All,
Recently, I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 , in my Laptop Dell XPS L502 with graphic card "nvidia geforce GT 525M" and there is a recommended driver update in the "Additional Drivers". When updating it though my Ubuntu hangs at the loading screen like at "Checking Battery state..." I would be appreciated reply this message at your earliest convenience. Thanks Ayoub |

You can't use the card with Linux since you have Optimus. You're stuck with Intel.
Should've researched before you bought. |

There's no trick. Right now, the card can't be used, period.
That may change later this year depending on what David Airlie or Nvidia do. |
