Pretty good temps you have there. I have the Dlx motherboard (until I send it back for the replacement
) and have the Corsair A50 cooler running at 1600rpm. I haven't done any serious overclock, just set the multiplier to 43x at stock voltage, and from 55c at 3.4 it went to 70c at 4.3GHz under prime test (max heat). I have a Silverstone Fortress Ft02, I think that helps a lot getting the fresh air onto the cooler and out of the case. What is so cool about these new boards is that in the prime test although the cpu runs at 70c, the m/b is at 28c. My friends i7 860 at 3.3 with prime causes his m/b to run at 40+ c. |

Thank you! It'll look even better in a few days when my Crucial Ballistix Tracers arrive. I picked the blue LED ones to fit my color scheme, blue lights on black hardware.

Dethklok Returns!

Is it just me or do those temps look a bit high? Or is that the norm on that type of setup when overclocking?

@Bob: Yes, filters over fans to block dust. Makes a NICE difference! Way less dust in case.

Here is a pic of my new build, Case is a Cosmos.. I did the exact same build for a buddy, except his case was this.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811517010
Didn't get any pics before he picked it up, but man! That Azza is SWEET! The wiring was 10 times cleaner than the job I did on my Cosmos, cheaper too. Just a mild OC on it, runs cool and almost completely silent with 6 Scythe 120's ![]() ![]() |

I had my heart set on the Cosmos when I first saw it, The Azza is easily the best case for the money I have ever worked with, maybe the best case period.. The monster sized fans are ultra quiet, wire routing was super easy, add in the hot swap drives.. and the value is just awesome.

Also, that's the extreme that daily use never gets even close to. In fact, the worst game I play on the CPU, Civilization V, only ever pushes temperature to around 50C at most.
