Default Interstellar Marines (still alive!)

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/ex...marines/709842

Game is now playable on their site, not the full game.

Just some bits of it they are releasing to the community so we can get a taste of what the game will look and feel like when finally released.

This . I still remember the first screenshots that were so amazing. It surely lost its magic over the years...

If you haven't yet, go and try it out on the web site. I think even these training levels are very well done and I have high expectations for the game when they release it.

I've been looking forward to playing this for a very long time but at this point, it does look stale and outdated and the narrative in the video is making some mighty big claims. I have the suspicion that it will be just another moderately received shooter with very little depth and out dated graphics. The textures and models in the online demos leave a lot to be desired

Something about it graphically reminds me sort of like a dumbed down F.E.A.R. look. And I think the original FEAR still looks pretty good even by today's lofty standards.

I really really hope i'm wrong because I would love to see a massive hit from a small company. The amount of time and work they've put into it I feel, deserves something.

I also really hope that the pirating community doesn't run away with this one. Indie games like this don't deserve that. The $40 price tag is right on the money considering all the extra goodies you get and what I imagine to be quite a bit of free DLC after release.

Anyways, I'm sure once the game is released, the gaming populace will be bitterly divided and I'm willing to bet that it will all boil down to the game's sub standard graphics. A lot of guys will not play this simply due to the graphics.

Graphics aren't that important... up to a certain point, of course... look at Monday Night Combat, for example. Or even less known gaming titles like... Knytt or Knytt stories? (to name a very extreme comparison point, that's it haha).

For some, they look like ****, but they're quite fun and even addictive.

For me, the looks on this game are impressive for an (supposedly) indie game and something even better would be if they decide to give the engine away for free ala UDK, its looks are perfect for a total conversion project (for example: System Shock 2) or just... play the game and have some fun.

But well... opinions are opinions, after all so... no one has the share the same, this is just mine
