Im not sure where to put this, forgive me if its in the wrong place.
I have an Asus M3N78-VM, first the ethernet port died on it and now the whole thing is dead. It should still be under asus's 3 year warranty thingy. Im just wondering how i should approach this? |

I RMA'd my P6T a few months ago, was a really smooth transaction they even did an advanced RMA at no charge. Call them here and talk to a tech.

The first RMA with Asus is very efficient and quick.
The problem comes in if they send you another broken board, or send you your own broken board back after updating the BIOS, regardless of what your error description was. Which happened to me several times. Then you need to go through a second and maybe third RMA which is very painful with them. My advise is try the first RMA and if it doesn't work trash the board. I only buy cheap Asus boards these days (which IMHO work better than expensive Asus boards anyway).

My Asus RMAs (2 of them) were quick and painless starting with a call to tech support, but I've never had to return an RMA issued board.

I've RMA'd three boards with them and actually got to speak to a tech which was nice. Not 100% sure but I think they paid for shipping throughout those RMA's.

Yeah, I has a big thread with lots pictures on XS
. Might still be there.I can't rule out that they improved. Since that incident I only buy cheap Asus boards. They Just Work(tm). Never had to RMA a cheap Asus board. I think Asus might have some problem with the complexity of the fancier boards, both when it comes to making a correctly working board and when it comes to testing/servicing them.
