Default Dues Ex - Human Revolution - Hands on

http://au.gamespot.com/pc/action/deu...opslot;title;2

Interesting comment about the PC Version at the end (the guy seems to be laughing a bit...probably bs -.-)

Also the guy who is giving the info....looks like he wanted himself to be the face for the game as well...looks exactly like him.

LOL, the art director guy really does look exactly like the protagonist.

Does anyone know how the cinematic scenes are handled in this game? I have a sinking feeling many if not all of them will be pre-rendered videos and not real time in game cinematic like Mass Effect has. Some of those visuals I doubt could be done realtime on consoles.

I'm guessing it might be a mixture, but tbh I don't think it'll be an issue.

Also, to the OP: The title should read Deus Ex.

hopefully those cut scenes are all rendered real time. They're easily some of the best, if not THE best cut scenes I've ever seen.

And I freakin love the art direction they've taken and WHY are we just now hearing someone finally "get" the whole notion of high res models/characters looking out of place next to low res objects??!?

Those scenes which do look good are all pre-rendered.
The sampling in general is just way over budget for GPUs, then the highquality GI, DoF with bokeh, ray-traced renlections refractions and caustics, fluid dynamics for stuff like smoke and water.
Any scene with realtime rendering was significan stepdown and had all the usual problems with sampling and antialiasing.

So no, not even remotely possible for current generation of consoles and not even for highend PC GPUs.

This game is really reminding me of Mass Effect 2. If the story is at least on par it could be even better! Eagerly anticipating this one for sure.

Out this year lol. I smell a delay.

I hope the only thing Square Enix are doing is the cutscenes.

Actually looks like it could be shaping up to be a very impressive game.

The 1st Deus Ex was one of the best games I have ever played. The second one was just a good game. I am hoping this 3rd game will be a return to the original games greatness!!

Supposedly the studio used DX1 as their building blocks and major analysis, so we could have some win on our hands. Only time and actual experience with the game will tell...

I'm not holding my breath, but I do hope they can bring some of the original glory of the first one back. I skipped a WHOLE LOT of school to play that game, and not just any game (single player even) would ever be THAT worth it.
