Hot Laptop GPU

How hot is too hot for a GPU? I have a HP laptop with a NVIDIA 9600M GT card in it. When I run Windows, the GPU temp. hovers around a managable temperature, but when I run Ubuntu 10.10, it gets pretty hot.
My computer has been up for 32 minutes, but is already 77 deg. C. No video has been played; only web browsing without any flash video.

It reports driver version 260.19.06. Ubuntu claims that it has the current proprietary driver installed.
