if a game isn't harder for noobs and easier for those who are more experienced and skilled at it, what's the ****ing point of the game?

Unfortunately his attitude is EXACTLY why games are becoming so streamlined and console focused. You need a giant red arrow pointing at what to do and no more than 2 options on how to complete your task. Also guns in Vietnam have much less recoil than bc2 so you don't have to control your fire as much

There's a way to overcome recoil: Burst Fire

...or in the case of Crysis, Strength Mode.

Also, you can press "X" to toggle between firing modes (single-shot vs. automatic)

Hint: Single-shot is better for long distances, while fully-automatic is better for close quarters.

I felt the exact same way when I first got started. Frustrating would be an understatement. What I ended up doing is playing as a support class, and after spending some time with the engineer just repairing stuff I started to level up quite quickly. Pretty I unlocked the shotgun, and with that I started to rack up some kills. Give the engineer a shot if you haven't already, you will be surprised how quickly you can gain experience. Plus, land mines are a hoot.

Indeed, engineering is my favorite class.
Repairing tanks and mining important passages is excellent way to pass time.

I would think that most gamers would understand that typically in games where leveling up is involved, there is a sharp learning curve for people new to the game. That's typically part of the reason people buy the game at launch.

By the way, I have been kicked out of many "under Lvl 20 only" servers. The problem is that they typically don't put it in the server name. Hence why I unknowingly join them and then get kicked... Here's how the exchange goes:

Random Nub: Vindictive get out, this is under level 20 only
Me: Umm ok, why don't you put it in the server name so everyone knows?
Game: You have been kicked.

LOL yea I have seen some in the title too. But I have been kicked out of 3 or 4 that didn't have it in the title. Maybe they adopted the rule after I got there, I don't know.

I think because in BC2 there is so much **** going on, it takes that much longer to learn the subtleties.

I dunno I started playing less than 2 months ago and now I am already level 32 or 33. I have at least 1 gold on almost all guns, have all pins, and even have platinum on 2 weapons. I haven't played in over a week though.
