Default several hdmi devices on GT 220 - what for ?

aplay -l

Only with aplay -D plughw:0,7 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav there's sound

I'm wondering what are others hdmi devices as

card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI]
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 8: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI]
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 9: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI]

why need they ??? for what ?


what does it mean

Subdevices: 0/1

for

card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI]


And why for other hdmi devices I have

Subdevices: 1/1

You can add the following line to your modeprobe configuration file:

options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=0x2
This may make 0,3 your correctly device.
(The respective section in above document may be corrected in the future.)
