When I connect my Loewe CRT TV (PAL-B) dynamically as a second screen via SVIDEO, nvidia-settings detects the TV but with the wrong vertical refresh rate 60Hz instead of the correct 50Hz.
Also the flickering image on the telly is in black and white. (NTSC ?) When using the second operating system, Windows xp, the correct mode is detected.Is there really no possibility to manually set the refresh rate and/or tv system of an analog tv connected via TwinView ? In windows it's possible ... I in the registry of my Windows box an EDID key for a Generic TV and exported it with Phoenix to a bin file.
Can this be used for the CustomEDID X option to solve the vertical refresh issue even with DynamicTwinView ? ex. in the Device section of xorg.conf Option "CustomEDID" "TV-0:/tmp/loewe_edid.bin" Option "IgnoreEDIDChecksum" "TV-0" |
