Update time.
My sister got my dad's captivate, and my dad chose the HTC Inspire 4G. Imma update later, to hopefully the (the Galaxy S2). The Inspire is a pretty nice device. Big display, HTC widgets are amazing, there are so many of them. And the Data widget is nice, since he has the 200mb rate, he doesn't want to go over so he closes it and opens it only when needed. Although, it seems the APN settings are screwed up now, not good, lol. Reboot will probably fix it. Anyways, its a pretty nice phone. |

Samsung Galaxy S II Preview
Very good preview, Galaxy S II got perfect smooth 1080p at 30fps and got very nice camera quality that are better than iphone 4, LG Optimus 2X, Sony Ericsson Arc/Play and Motorola Atrix.

Now Samsung fixed the GPS issue with Galaxy S II. ![]() http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/29/s...y-works-video/ Here Samsung Galaxy S II review by engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/28/s...y-s-ii-review/ Hope I will able to see one on demoration in store to test out bluetooth and how strong it vibrate. If the tests pass then I will probably get one if I can find it somewhere cheaper than in the store. ![]()

That video showing a location lock doesn't mean anything. Sometimes my original Galaxy S phone will get a lock fairly quickly too. The performance while driving is the real test.

It's a superb phone, have to say. Got mine today to replace a busted iPhone 4 and couldn't be happier.
I had previously used the Samsung Galaxy S and wasn't too blown away but this thing is superb, the screen is amazing, battery life about the same as my iPhone 4, camera is incredible, and the most important part ...it is sooo FAST. There was a firmware update today for it apparently but mine shipped with it already, which is good. Seems Samsung have learned from their mistakes and pushing updates out quicker. There is also a camera firmware update in the samsung apps thingy apparently although I haven't checked. Was going to wait for the new HTC but I hate the direction they have taken with locking bootloaders. I like rooting and tinkering with Android so it put me off.

What's the software like? I've been waiting for this phone forever, but it seems like September or later release. I really don't want to wait that long. I'm seriously thinking about getting the htc inspire only because I like htc sense. I like everything about samsung except the software. How is it on this phone?
I wrote this from my iPod touch. Biatch! |
