Default Dell u3011

I'm looking at getting the Dell u3011 IPS panel. Wondering if any of you have any experience with this or any recommendations.

Thanks in advance...

If you're not too set on the U3011 you might want to give the U2711 a look. It has a much lower pixel pitch, and is 16:9, but also 2560x1440. 720p videos scale perfectly on it. The 16:9 is nicer for gaming too imo. Plus, with the low pixel pitch you don't need as much AA as you would on the 30".

I appreciate the input.

I'm leaning towards the U3011 still I think, even after looking at the u2711.

I'm shooting for max res, mainly because of the fact that I end up doing a lot of programming and I really think the additional screen real-estate would be more valuable to me than the increased pixel density (which actually kind of hurts my eyes even on their U2410)

I think I'm going to give the u3011 a shot. The only thing holding me back is the "input lag" but everything I've seen seems to say that it's not noticeable unless you directly look at it compared to a TN panel

Yeah, if you can't stand small font then get the 3011 no doubt. I wouldn't worry about the input lag, you won't notice it.

That's what I've heard from everyone so far. I'm sure I won't be dissapointed.

The real question is what am I going to flank this monster with? I have 2 crappy 22" lcds right now... I was leaning towards u2410's on the left and right (I actually do kind of really need that much real-estate)

I suppose it was fairly naive that I'd be accepted for "Bill me Later" being a first time user of that service... It got denied

No u3011 for me until June 15th rolls around
