Hmm...

400MHz * 8 Pipes = 3.2 GPixels/sec, 450MHz * 8 Pipes = 3.6 GPixels/sec

400MHz * 16 TMU's = 6.4 GTexels/sec, 450MHz * 16 TMU's = 7.2 GTexels/sec

So where did 4.8 come from, and what does "effective" mean?

I smell something...

Where did you get this info from. It probably is made up. And if it's true, then this would not be an nv30 killer, it would be an nv30 match. Same thing. Which means the nv35 would destroy it.

I really don't think this is based on anything serious...

And anyway, the NV30 is OpenGL 2.0 too ( and not the R300. Hehe ) - i think that's official ( seen it on a NV-accepted NV30 preview if i remember correctly )

400-450Mhz? Maybe that's what you can get by overclocking it, but considering the R300 goes up to 400Mhz, that's not so impressive IMO.

35-40 GB/s? Now that's ridiculous. I can suppose something like 25-30 could be correct, but 30-40? Out of question.

I think 500mhz ddrII x 256 bit bus is 32gb/s.Am I wrong?
Kingsna next time you make specs of your mind try to make them a bit believable!!Obviously you know nothing about graphics cards!! Go home!!

P.S You forgot about the nano fusion reactor!!!

NV30 killer?
I debate usage of the word 'killer'
If you like driver/hardware problems, ATIs still the place to be!

Plus they look like complete rumors to me. Don't get your hopes up until the previews hit, man.
(I remember there were several NV30 rumor sets out confirmed wrong)

He got it out of his ass to annoy the people here...

Then you might as well know that the possibility for 8x2 scheme for R350 is highly unlikely, although 0.13 is likely.

Also, don't count on any DirectX 9.1 support, as DirectX 9 incorporates everything needed for future versions (what the future hardware R300 & NV30 doesn't even support!) and the next major revision of DX will be it's 10th version, with some features specifically targeted towards Longhorn.

Oh, and btw, some of your info there doesn't make sense at all, u might as well check it out again!

It is highly likely that this guy made up all those specs because he is an ati fanboy. Microsoft is going to make directx 9.1 though, read in many places. But the specs are made up, and its not an nv30 killer. there were even talks of having 1ghz ddr 2 memory in nv30, although i doubt it, but that gives you an idea, that the nv30 specs will be similar to those made up above.

that's what i think too. 1GHz DDR X 256bitbus = 32gig

that 40gb/sec raw bw is bs...the calculations aren't there.

That was lame...

If you are gonna guess at specs, at least TRY to make it look educated (which you are obviously not).
