Yeah but wait and see if any game developers actually use it. Epic games have UE3 using a lot of games for good reason.

Well, by dropping the resolution to 1080p you drop the requirement to half.
Demo should work nicely with single 580, some little tweaks might be needed but not much.

Cryengine is undoubtly THE BEST engine. I don't know what are gameplay mechanics capabilities, but graphics and physics wise its top class. Its just held back by consoles. If not for 360 and PS3, people would have much more powerfull computers by now, easily capable of rendering this

What Crytek are hoping to do is lead the way in their engine uptake by console game developers, and give console users what PC users had 6 years before when the next gen consoles come out.

March UDK includes all DX11 features, that were presented in Samaritan Demo at GDC 2011

Forget the YouTube links (and the Gametrailer link) as they have awful compression that hurts the image quality and the framerate of the demo, even in HD. You can find a proper HD video to download in the link above. Also... one more thing: WOW

With the direction they seem to be going I'm starting to think the benchmark they're aiming for is Pac-Man
