Default Best Waterblock for 6800Ultra?

Guys,

I think I am going to pick up a Zalman Resonator from Fry's today. My question is which is the best waterblock to use for the 6800? I believe there are 2 different ones out there that people were discussing, but their names have slipped my mind at the moment. Anyways, which one should I order? I really don't think I need LED's on it either, unless they can be disabled.

Thanks,

Y2J

i havent been able to find a comparison review, but the danger den runs at 1/2 in, while i have no idea what the coolmatic specs are, so i think it really depends on your wc setup

Which block would work best with a S939 Amd64 3500+ w/ MSI Neo2 Platinum nForce 3 mobo and a 6800 Ultra, both on a Zalman Resonator?

I'm getting the coolmatic for my reserator combo and some other folks here have it too. Dangerden might/should be better cause its full copper but also twice as expensive (though that link above has the coolmatic quite expensive). Buy directly from http://www.innovatek.de/ if in the EU.

The coolmatic is actually more expensive then the danger den one. Its 80 euros plus VAt which is like 140 to 160 u.s.
I got my danger den for 110 u.s so i would go for the danger den.
P.s-that is off the innovatec website fyi.

Yes and it works the other way around if I had gotten the dangerden block with shipping and import duties.

sorry you didnt specify that your "double the price statement" included shipping and whatever taxes you have in your country. I was looking at it in u.s dollars. Even though im canadian.
It works out to 97 euros for the danger den block base price. And its a much better beefier block but the coolmatic is very nice.

Yes I agree the dangerden is more hard-core and copper is always better than aluminium. The coolmatic only has a small copper piece inside the large alu block.
