Default GPU upgrade advise

Hi, currently, my 5 years old (lol, almost 5 years old, I bought it on the 1st day when it came out) evga 8800 GTX still is running strong. but it shows its age when I tried to run ultra setting of RIFT. I want to know what will be the good, reasonable priced GPU upgrade for me to run RIFT with everything max out? I am thinking about 460 GTX.... Any changes in GPU? Can my old mother board (5 years old) still run it

Thanks!

Agreed, 560 would the best option. Regarding your other parts I am not sure as you have not listed what motherboard, CPU etc you are running.

Here's another one for the GTX 560. You should see at least a healthy 2x boost in performance.

560 is a good choice, but you won't run Rift maxed out on it. You should be good on Ultra, though.

Are you sure? RIFT is mostly about the CPU from what I can remember.

I'm positive. I've been playing for a while now, and even my 580's will dip in the 30's during massive Rifts and invasions with everything maxed out.

The game isn't very optimized and when you start moving sliders past Ultra and adding in AA it taxes a gpu pretty good.
