Default DisplayPort native 2560x1600 but limited to 1920x1200

Computer is Dell Precision M6400
OS is Fedora 14
kernel 2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64
GPU is Quadro FX 3700M
driver 260.19.36
Dell U3011 monitor - just got it
hooked up with DisplayPort cable
shows 1920x1200

using NVIDIA X Server Settings app
in X Server Display Configuration it maxes at 1920x1200
in DFP-3 (monitor) it shows:
Chip location: External
Connection link: 4 lanes @ 2.70 Gbps
Signal: DisplayPort
Native Resolution: 2560x1600
Best Fit Resolution: 1920x1200
Frontend Resolution: 1920x1200
Backend Resolution: 1920x1200
Refresh Rate: 59.88 Hz

Any hints what I have to do to make it work 2560x1600 instead of 1920x1200?

Default Re: DisplayPort native 2560x1600 but limited to 1920x1200

Problem solved. Had to add to my previously fine working xorg.conf

inside

Section "Device"

this extra line

Option "ModeValidation" "NoExtendedGpuCapabilitiesCheck"
