Crysis 2 PC Patch

A new Crysis 2 PC patch is coming next week and we'd like to give you a preview on some of the changes that will be included.

PC Changes:

• Vote-kicking feature added.
• Added a reserved slot system for server admins.
• Further improvements to anti-cheat measures.
• Objectives are returned if they end up in forbidden areas.
• Fix for Nanosuit Modules that could not be leveled in some circumstances.
• Fix for some instances of errors logging into multiplayer that would report "Could not connect to Gamespy".
• Fix for unlock tokens failing to be awarded if a player quit a game in which they leveled up before the end of the round.
• Fix for inconsistencies with weapon zooming.
• Fix for outdated stats being saved when a client leaves mid-game.
• Fixes to the Nanosuit Reboot option available at level 50.
• Fixed several weapon exploits.
• Fixed a rare issue where auto-aim, stealth kill and grab would not work on an AI.
• Reduced memory footprint of sound.
• Optimized full screen effects on some graphics cards.
• Optimized SSAO on some graphics cards.

• No DX11 Patch yet.

This is one reason I'm not worried about waiting to buy this game. By the time I'm ready to purchase it it'll be fully patched and likely there will be some great mods for it as well.

Same here.

Having played it on the PC it's not worth what they're charging for it right now (IMO anyways). I'll wait until there's more PC content and enhancements.

If I really get the urge... my kid has it on teh XBox.

The game grows on you and it did me but without the config settings I've applied I don't think I would have brought it.

Tweaking the lighting and making the grain filter subtle makes the game look great. I will have a second playthrough when the DX11 patch hits. After that, it will be a waiting game until the C2 editor and SDK is released this coming Summer. I can hardly wait.

Yeah 1.4 patch is out, just got it on the automatic download. Loads of people complaining on the mycrysis forums.

BTW. Crytek locked a lot of the cvars in this patch to stop cheating in MP.

a little too late...and still need more fixing...multiplayer is god awful....sooooooooo many cheaters!!...

Apparently they are going to go through all of the cvars and let us have the safe ones in the next patch.

I went on a server last night and had an hours worth of MP and it was just fine.
