I never finished DS1 got closed to it, but DS2 was alright, i did finish that in one day...was pretty good for that genre.

But P2 wins for me because it has a good story, looks great, great gameplay and they added a co-op which i never thought would come to a game like this..and they did it perfectly!.

i just can't wait to try out community maps with co-op.

It's a great well-polished game though, and it's not like I'm crying about it, but man, once you get into a groove of finding the solution, it gets pretty ez. Co-op is the wave of the future, mark my words, when Valve said they are going that way, makes sense.

Anyhow, overall I did enjoy this game, i just want like 50 more hrs of game play GOSH DARNIT!!!!

SPOILERS............................

I noticed that too, it gradually got harder from the start, then you had to learn to play with the new gel stuff (Cave's voiceover stuff). After that, it was kind of like starting over because of Wheatley designed new tests for you and they were kind easy. Chapter 8 was easy until about 15-16 and the final sequence was only hard because it was scripted and timed, so you didn't know what to do initially during the phases of the event. If you were to replay it, it would be cake. No pun intended.

Speaking of cake, there's no mention of it, but the end with GLADos was sweet.

beat it last night. Absolutely awesome game from start to finish.

Battle with last boss wasn't difficult at all IMO. I knew pretty much exactly what to do from the very beginning but the bit with the moon took me by surprise. Didn't see that coming!

Only one test chamber really racked my brain though. It was the one near the end with the 3 turrents that would shoot you if you ran around the glass wall to press the switch. I knew exactly what I needed to do but I couldn't figure out HOW to move the gel properly.

I actually figured it out by mistake when I back pedaled onto the 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button, saw the effect and then the light bulb came on.

(trying my best not to spoil the puzzle for folks)

Portal 2 boss was the easiest end boss in video gaming history imo...

And I'm glad. I like ending games on a good note rather than being frustrated from dieing 100 times trying to end it all.

Is this really worth $50? Consider that I make minimum wage at a part time job. Should I get this? I really liked Portal 1. Also, I have a PS3, so should I get the PS3 version then?

It is worth it, but most games have a one or two day sale within a month of release. I'd bet if you're patient you can find a good deal over the next few weeks.

I got it for $35 through Amazon with $.99 shipping, not sure if it's still that price or not. Newegg has it for $44, other than that I don't know who has it cheaper.
