All my SATA ports are used up currently.
I am looking at getting a SATA II PCI ad in card, what are your thoughts on their performance. Is it worth it to get one to have more SATA ports or do their performance not warrant it. Thanks, K

s3? If it is PCIx then its a no go, I am using one PCIx for my sound card, and the other it blocked by my video card leaving one PCI slot.

PCI (133MB/s) will limit even SATA I (150MB/s)
but it should be enough for mechanical disks |

Thats what I was thinking...
Do you think a blu-ray burner would suffer being connected to it insetead of the onboard SATA?

no.
No optical drive can come even close to saturate the PCI bus. HDDs are now coming close (good SATA2+ drives can sustain 100+MB/s) and SSD are way beyond (200+MB/s).
