Finally got everything done. The blasphemer's outfit/weapons are all done and holy hell what an improvement. They help so much.

+45 to vitality
86% resist inceneration
36% resist bleeding
27% reduction magic damage
41% resist poison
+5 bonus to signs
+15 max carrying load

The only drawback really is when you equip either sword, this black smoke vignette appears around the screen and the color of the world gets muted some. It's really cool but can be distracting if you're looking for something in the environment (like the nekkar nests).

I can't complain too much though as I feel like I now have the upper hand in most combat scenarios (for now)

I just picked this up, looks like the best game i've had installed in a LONG LONG time. Running 11.9(cap1), ultra performance @ 1600p is not bad at all (no ubersampling).

Been playing the arena to get the feel of the combat.

kayran is nerfed in 2.0! beat it on normal on the first try.

of course, i did battle it about 20 times on 1.0 so i know it's secrets...

Nerf? what that mean?

It took me a while to beat the Kayran. I died a few times once the bridge collapsed on it. First time I was like "HELL YEAH! I won!" *Rock to face* Nope.

Then once I knew there would be boulders being hurled at me, it took me a while to figure out where I needed to go to finish it off.

It was a very rewarding fight though. Very challenging.

It means they took away the Kayrans tentacles and gave him nerf guns.

i could only beat it on easy in 1.0, but it's been nerfed and was much easier in 2.0. kudos for beating it on "DDark," i don't have the patience for that.

but yes, once you know what to do it's at least manageable. still, geralt doesn't take too many tentacle hits to go down.

yeah I was getting slaughtered at first. It took me a while to figure out which tentacles I could trap with Yrden, what pattern he beat on the ground with, etc.. it was basically accept the fact that I would die a few times just so I could sit there and see what in the hell he was going to do next.

just finished the first two chapters going the elf/dwarf route. great game. i saved my money for super expensive swords and armor this time; cutting through nubs like butter.
