Zelda OoT 3D

It 5am in the morning and I can't sleep so I figure its time to vent.

I can't effing believe Nintendo, who typically doesn't do true direct remakes, decided to make a direct remake of what is the highest rated game of all time on a crappy handheld console, when they have a brand new console coming in less than a year with awesome new HD graphics and cool new interfaces that could be put to perfect use in Zelda OoT.

What the hell is wrong with them? I just want to go down to their marketing/game planning folks and slap the sh!t out of them. You end up with a remake that only looks a bit better than the original, with no new gameplay, no cool new features, with tiny screen it was never meant for. /slap N

Yup, Would love to play it with the increased graphics resolution and better graphics tweaks (town square is now fully rendered rather then a ****ty 2D image) but not going to buy a crappy handheld to play it.

It is Nintendo. Why are you ruling out the possibility of a OoT remake for the Wii U?

Nintendo has lost it's sense of quality, I don't know why Ninja is so surprised.

How many "remakes" has nintendo done? This is the only one I can even think of off hand. Thats why. Maybe its a new thing for them and they'll start doing it more, but somehow I doubt it.

You're not counting the couple dozen titles that they ported from the SNES to the GBA, or from N64 over to the DS. Super Mario 64 and Super Mario DS?

This isn't the first time. I have to agree though. Putting the highest rated game of all time on a project that doesn't seem to be yielding results is a very risky move.

None of those were remakes though. They were all, as you said, ports. They didn't update the graphics or anything really(at least that I can think of). This the the first actual remake they've done, with updated graphics, resolution, ect, but it barely looks any better because its on a tiny screen with limited resolution and limited hardware, not to mention half the power is wasted doing it in 3D.
