Question NVIDIA Quadro FX770M on Ubuntu

On Windows this graphic card does not support old displays as TV-displays?
But on Linux it is even worse: I worked at first with the driver 270.41.06, then I tried the newer 270.41.19 from NVIDIA themself. But the additional display, beamer or what else does not get any signal from my laptop!

What graphic driver would work or does it depend on something else?

(System properties: Ubuntu 11.04 32bit)
