how use vdpau to decode in remote machine

hi,
i have a trouble in using vdpau, i use vdpau to decode by x-windows remote access, the server don't have nvidia graphics card, the client have nvidia graphics card, and it fails. but when i use vdpau in the same machine which is the client machine by x-windows, it can success. now coporation needs to decode by remote, what should i do. thanks.
