Interesting read. There are definitely screens that are starting to appear that could do it. They just require a lot of GPU power which really shouldn't be a huge deal for anyone looking for one of these displays; it probably won't be a huge investment for anyone who already has a HTPC. Throw in some software to convert existing 3D content and it's definitely possible for some people to obtain.

The biggest question after that is if it's actually worth it. I don't know if I would be able to stomach a 3d display or if the ability to display in 3d is really something I would prefer. I think higher resolutions and higher frame rates are more important than 3d at this point.

I agree, higher refresh rates and higher resolution. I'm not impressed with the 3-d tech I've seen so far.
