Kernel version 3.0 is born

It's only at 3.0.0-rc1, no idea yet when 3.0.0 final is due.
I just had a quick play with substituting 3_0 for 2_6 but it didn't work out and I haven't had time to have a closer look.
Right now 3.0.0-rc1 looks like just a name change.
No panic, just a heads up.

It is just a name change. Linus stated there will be no major changes. It's more of a commemoration than anything else..
