On Doom4- thoroughly enjoy the Doom games so I'm really looking forward to Doom 4.

As to the Next Quake, believe it or not I've never played any Quake other than Quake 4. I abo****ely *love* Quake 4. It's a sci-fi shooter done right imo. I would love to see Quake 5 continue the story.

Quake 4 was a cool surprise, i expected far far worse. You should play Quake 2 and the expansion packs too through. Classic shooter...

I tried to go back and play Quake 2 because it came with Quake 4 and I just couldn't get into it. I kept getting lost because all the walls were the same so you couldn't tell one hallway from another. I can see where it was an achievement when it came out, but I'm inclined to agree with the rose-colored glasses point of view.

Happy to hear they're still planning to make more though. I thoroughly enjoyed Quake 4 so I would like to see more.

you kept getting lost in quake 2???? the levels are SO linear though there really is only one way to pass a level, and if you need to find an item, it's fairly easy to find. for its time, it was an amazing achievement imo. which part were you getting lost at?

Quake 3 Arena is the game you need to play, Redeemed. I still play that game sometimes...

Put about 23 minutes into Quake II. Fun. Definetely dated, but fun. I can see why this was popular back then.

MP shooters, save for L4d, do very little for me. Never did get into them. I'm almost entirely a SP gamer. Love Co-op though, so that's an exception.

Me too Redeemed. I'm a SP gamer all the way. And co-op ROCKS!! I've tried to get into MP, but just don't like it. All you do is go around and kill everyone else..deathmatches suck IMHO......kinda pointless if you ask me.

Btw.....loved Q4 and DOOM3. Looking forward to some more of those two shooters.

My 2 cents.....

Kapt

It was 5 or 6 years ago so I don't remember many details, but I just remember running around lost a lot and it seemed like sometimes I had to run down one hallway to flip a switch, then come back and run down a different hallway, but I could never remember which hallway I needed to go down by the time I got back. To be fair, I have the same problem with Doom so it's possible my sense of direction just sucks.
