I wouldn't say it's important...Years ago people wouldn't buy games on steam because it was steam....Now people are doing same with origin...ffs get a grip, clicking an icon to execute a game is not hard to do and im sure you wouldn't get too confused deciding which icon to press...either steam icon or Origin icon.....

Letting a purchase be decided upon where it is acquired from is lame...Especially seeing that Origin will be getting a lot more exclusives in the future.

**** game on steam or the best FPS this decade on another distributor (origin), you decide ?

I simply want my games on Steam. There are Steam-alternatives available for years, but they don't interest me at all. Origin is one of them.
It's a silly reason to skip a game. Listen I understand the EA hate for alot of their decisions over the years, I really do. But the people that put Steam up on some pedestal like it's anything other than a DRM laden money maker for Valve to get a cut of everything other developers/publishers do, like their new policy regarding DLC has to be sold through them so they get a cut of it, doesn't make Valve any better imo.

i am waiting till the last min to buy bf3, and if i do it will be retail. the retail version is $70, where as the online digital version is $90+, also hoping origin is not forced on players for retail version.

I prefer to use steam only.

there is no reason for EA to force origin other than for the $$$

but that doesnt mean i am going to buy mw3 lol that game is $100!!
