If it rocks in X3TC single threaded app, then we have winner

Well it could be possible with those "2 cores" (2x 128bit FPU) per core vs SandyBridge with 1x256bit that can split in two 2x128bit. And this imo is not so clever as by amd vs a "real core" behind 1x 128bit not just an operation.

1280x1024, 4xaa, 16xaf, high

1st Scene "Trade" minimum fps

my cpu q9450@ 3.6ghz = 21fps
i7 2600k @4.6ghz= 35fps

hopefully AMD 8150 @ 4.6ghz = 55-60fps

now if it manages that, hands down lol

also all these rumors up until now are fake.

AMD sees profit 2Q11

Quote:
AMD has announced revenues for the second quarter of 2011 of US$1.57 billion, net income of US$61 million, or US$0.08 per share, and operating income of US$105 million. The company reported non-GAAP net income of US$70 million, or US$0.09 per share, and non-GAAP operating income of US$114 million.

In the second quarter, the company had a gross margin of 46% with its computing solutions segment revenues staying flat both sequentially and on-year. Sequentially, higher mobile processor revenues were offset by lower desktop and server revenues, while the on-year decrease was primarily driven by lower server revenues.

Meanwhile, graphics segment revenues decreased 11% sequentially and 17% on year. The sequential decrease was driven primarily by lower discrete mobile shipments and seasonality in the desktop discrete graphics add-in board market. The annual decrease was primarily driven by lower shipments.

For the third quarter, AMD expects revenues to increase 10%, plus or minus 2pp, sequentially.

WTH is that supposed to mean? Why report GAAP income and then non-GAAP income? Investors are only going to pay attention to GAAP.

Don't get me wrong, I like AMD, just that strikes me as a bit pointless.

Without GAAP, you can leave expenses off the financial statement.....

Atleast they are starting to see profits now. They can starting digging them selves out of the red and start becoming a compeditor rather then a trailer.

Looks like it will arrive sooner, probably within 7-10days.

The wait is almost over for AMD fans, and owners of Socket AM3+ motherboards with 990FX chipsets: Bulldozer CPUs will ship ‘within the next week or so’. ZDNet says the claim was made at the Hot Chips conference a couple of weeks ago, and has some new details and specs to tease us with.

Advanced Micro Devices has once again redesigned the launch family of its FX-series microprocessors code-named Zambezi so that to make it broader and more competitive, a source with knowledge of the company's plans revealed. However, the company, as reported last week, delayed the launch of the new chips, which are based on highly-anticipated Bulldozer micro-architecture, to October, 2011.

They shipped some chips for the supercomputers.

http://www.amd.com/us/press-releases...-2011sep7.aspx

Quote:
Today, AMD (NYSE: AMD) announced revenue shipments of the first processors based on its new x86 “Bulldozer” architecture. Initial production of the world’s first 16-core x86 processor, codenamed “Interlagos,” began in August and shipping to customers is already underway. Compatible with existing AMD OpteronTM 6100 Series platforms and infrastructure, “Interlagos” is expected to launch and be available in partner systems in the fourth quarter of this year. Many of the initial shipments have been earmarked for large custom supercomputer installations that are now underway.

“This is a monumental moment for the industry as this first ‘Bulldozer’ core represents the beginning of unprecedented performance scaling for x86 CPUs,” said Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager, AMD Products Group. "The flexible new ‘Bulldozer’ architecture will give Web and datacenter customers the scalability they need to handle emerging cloud and virtualization workloads.”
