Default Need some help

I had recently rma'ed my 9600 gt that I thought had died and received a 8800 gt as a replacement. After installing the 8800 gt and booting my computer it wasn't recognized even though in my bios I have it set to not enable the onboard video if there is a discreet video card installed. I was wondering if the pci-e slot on my mother board is causing it to not be recognized? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

DO you have any other PCI-E 16 slots that you can try? Or 1 other PCI-E video card?

Unfortunately no, I've got a matx motherboard so I only have the one pci-e slot.
