Grats on your upgrade. I just replaced my 8800 GTS 640MB for the EVGA 560 as well. I have the OC'd version and just got the Accelero Xtreme installed. I couldn't be happier.

@zarlaan, thanks man! Awesome upgrade for you too!

@Ecidemon, not only decent performance gain, I'd say huge. Games runs more faster than before even without using Fraps. IQ becomes excellent even without tinkering with it on the Nvidia Cpanel. Civ 5 runs oh so much smoother, as well as some of the dx10 and dx11 games like Dirt2 and Mafia. And of course, the shorter length of the 560 ti card means you'll get more room compared to the long and bulky 260

I finally upgraded too

but i ran into some problems, i bought Asus 560 ti dc top factory clocked at 900 core.
At first the performance was good, then it almost cut in half, to even lower then my gtx 260

I was really puzzled, according to msi afterburner the card was running at its optimal clock speeds. So i figured maybe its my old 600w psu that is to blame even though its enough as its run the gtx 260 just fine. Just in case i bought a new 800w modular single rail psu the following day but still no dice.

Today i went down to the store and had the card replaced and presto now its awesome

insufficent cooling does that, i noticed it will all my nvidia cards once the temps hit 90C the video card throttles to have the speed typically 50% of the standard clock rate. At which point you need to reboot the computer to restore speeds as it resets the driver. It's a fail safe, might want to manually increase the fan speeds, MSI afterburner allows you do set fan speeds.

It was a faulty card for sure, temps were nice and low even under stress. It's all sorted now when i got the replacement card today. it works like a charm

the asus card is idle at 35c and under load around 60-65. I am very happy with the card.
Edit: I think it must have been faulty cuda cores on the other card.
when running the old nvidia fluid demo it only produced around 10fps, the gtx 260 got me ~20 something, and the new replaced asus card is 45fps
