User Profiles for work environments

I was wondering if anyone makes new user profiles in windows for different work environments. I've never really messed with users before but thought it may be handy to organize different work environments on the same pc like general use/gaming, programming/electronics simulation tinkering, music recording/guitar.

Maybe this would just buy you separate desktop layouts or something but it may help to stay focused on the task at hand

nope, doesnt work, its more of a pain in the ass todo it like that. For me I use roaming profiles at home and on my laptop so that I have one set of programs...
