OK, im completely new to this and i apologize in advance for my ignorance and complete disregard for grammar. im looking to spend around $1500 on my first gaming computer and don't wanna **** this up. I want a system that has the power to max out (or at least come close) games like crysis 1&2, star craft 2 and battlefield 3.
Ive been looking at a couple different set ups but i always hit a dead end during the upgrading process. im not sure how these companies operate and i don't want to spend an extra $600 on upgrades that aren't compatible with the system im buying. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/C...er_Black_Pearl for instance ^^ i like what i see on this setup but i would like to upgrade the video card it gives me the option to add 2 of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 2GB 16X PCIe ...but would that even work? i just want a powerful gaming computer that's gonna last for awhile and i would appreciate any help or recommendations |

Any rig that you get that will max out Crysis 2 will max out the other two games on your list easily.

Spend 3 days reading how to build a PC and do your own. If I can talk a girl through building a PC from scratch over the phone 900 miles away, anyone can build their own. PC now a days are so easy to beult compared to the old AT style it's not even funny.

So true! I used to dread putting my hands in my computer case back then, always afraid I'd pull 'em out and find a finger or two missing.
I'll never forget the first time I had to wire the PSU to the power switch. Flipped the computer on and the lights in the whole house went out! Nearly shat myself. ![]() |
