Default 5900 ULTRA and cooling design???

ok so in windows when you go into a game, the 5900 ultra will spin up its fan right? does it do this in linux, and if not is that bad?

Some people claim the FX 5900 fan cooler is the same as the FX 5800 non-ultra fan cooler. If that is true, then you may have no problem, because many FX 5800 users never hear the fan speed up.
I used to drive a Heisenberg, but whenever I'd glance at the speedometer, I'd get lost.
